Reiki
Reiki is a very powerful holistic therapy. It is an ancient, simple and practical technique for deep relaxation and hands-on healing. Reiki rebalances the physical body, clears the mind, calms the emotions and reawakens the connection with our spirituality. The therapist channels energy through themselves, and into the patient. There is an unlimited supply of universal energy around us.
Modern day scientific research has proved the existence of this “life force” and today, doctors and medical professionals consider the role is has as a viable form of healing and self development. Reiki is a technique that allows you to reach into that life force and improve the quality of life and health of the subject or yourself. Reiki is a natural, safe and simple form of self improvement and healing. It treats the whole being and can be given to anything from humans and animals to plants and food. There is an immense “feel good” emotion during and after a Reiki treatment and can it create feelings of relaxation, peacefulness and well being.
Dogs respond well to Reiki and it can be used to help dogs with behaviour problems along side good understanding and training. It is also beneficial to nervous or shy dogs. Rescue dogs often respond well to Reiki as it can help them to unlock past emotions and come to terms with them We cannot always know what our dog is feeling and what memories he has stored up. Reiki can help soothe and calm stressed dogs. Reiki works on the body as a whole, and there have been many reports of it assisting in removing energy blocks in the body which are leading to poor health, and then allowing the energy to flow again and improving the health of the being.
