Therapy ball use for core stability
Learn techniques to improve the core stability of your dog. Very beneficial for the competition dog as this will strengthen and tone his body , encourage balance and help prevent injury.
Also very beneficial for the rehabilitating dog after injury, surgery or illness. Improved core stability will encourage faster recovery, better tissue repair and less chance of further injury.
- Basic anatomy and physiology
- The use of therapy balls and rocker boards
- Safe practise
- Warm up before the routines
- Techniques to use for the competition dog
- Techniques for the recovering dog
- Passive moves and controlled stretching on the ball
- Routines for competition dogs
- Maintenance routines for the, old or recovering dog
- Puppy introduction routine
The workshops will last a day, and include a full set of notes about the session. You just need to bring some clothes to kneel on, some vet bedding or blankets for your dog, a packed lunch and of course your dog.
